Mike Choi
I have been serving with Pathways since we started services in 2004. Since that time I have been involved with worship and just about everything musical. Prior to our becoming chartered as a church in the PCUSA, I served as a member on the steering committee coordinating worship events and working collaboratively with the other members of the committee on various other events and projects.
I was born into a christian home with parents who have always been active in different roles in the church. Like many Asian kids growing up, there were always high expectations with respect to my grades. So, when I received my first "unacceptable grade" in junior high school, my world seemed to start unraveling at the seams. It was in that low point (low for an Asian junior high student) that I had formally recognized and declared Jesus Christ as my Lord and Savior. I still got in trouble but saved nonetheless.
As Pathways continues to grow as a community, I would really like to see more folks discovering and/or recognizing the gifts that God has blessed them with and utilizing those gifts more in service to Him, be it in or outside of Pathways.
